Members of Shadow Wood Country Club in Bonita Springs, FL., have a renovated clubhouse to call home. The result of a nine-month, $7 million building and design project by AM Design Group, the most visible piece of the renovation and addition project include turning the old pro shop into a multifunction room called the “Sunrise Room.”
The other key elements are remodeling of the ladies’ card room, locker room and vanities, a renovation and addition of the men’s card room and grill/lounge, and a completely new 3,500-square foot pro shop building that looks over the expansive practice greens and features unique retail opportunities that are not available at most private clubs.
“The membership at Shadow Wood C.C. is ecstatic about our new buildings as well as our redesigned areas,” said Brian Bartolec, general manager/chief operating officer. “Watching the project unfold into what we had envisioned all along is so rewarding. AM Design Group delivered perfectly on all aspects of the project.”
Each of the furnishings, decorative fixtures and accessories of the project were provided by AM Design Group.
“Our intent was not to design just another club, but to transform the culture of the club by completely updating not only the appearance of the club but its functions as well,” said AM Design Group principal architect/owner Adrian Karapici. “The leadership at Shadow Wood has been amazing. By them putting the trust into the design professionals, we were able to really shine at what we do and think creatively.”
One of of the top private country clubs on Florida’s west coast, Shadow Wood Country Club ifeatures three golf courses, originally designed by Robert Cupp and Arthur Hills, and renovated by Rees Jones. The club also boasts a nine-court tennis complex, two bocce courts, and two clubhouses.
Shadow Wood Country Club is currently offering a limited number of memberships.
