Grande Lakes Orlando, home to The Ritz-Carlton Orlando and JW Marriott Orlando, is bringing back its popular Fall on the Farm weekends – every Saturday and Sunday between 10 am-3 pm throughout the month of October. The event is open to Grande Lakes Orlando hotel guests, residents, and visitors on Whisper Creek Farm, an 18,000 square-foot farm located on-property.
Whisper Creeks is open year-round to visitors for tours and culinary programming.
Each weekend offers a vast range of iconic fall-themed events and activities, such as pumpkin picking and carving with the resort’s Olympic World Champion culinary artist and carver, Victor Dagatan. Guests can get a hayride around the corn maze and can take part in a unique learning experience, such as discovering local wildlife at a falconry school with the property’s Master Falconer.
Grande Lakes Orlando’s Director of Fly Fishing, Captain Mark Benson, will be sharing fishing facts, while showing guests how to properly set up a fishing line and how to lure in fish. During all the activities, guests can schedule a photography session with The Photography Concierge.
Whisper Creek Farm produces an array of homemade goods, such as honey, Surplus Beer, jams, BBQ sauces and rubs, and popcorn, each of which are available for purchase at the famers’ market. Additionally, each of Grande Lakes Orlando’s dining outlets will be catering a lineup of food and beverage options. Visitors also can check out the on-site apiary, which produces honey for Grande Lakes Orlando’s restaurants and spa, as well as take a tour of the farm, where an extensive selection of herbs, vegetables, and fruits are grown.
Access to Fall on the Farm is $40 per person for overnight guests, $60 for visitors, and complimentary for those two years of age and younger.
The 500-acre Grande Lakes Orlando estate features a 582-room Ritz-Carlton and 1,000-room JW Marriott hotel situated at the headwaters of the Florida Everglades. Guests at each hotel have access to all the facilities and services at Grande Lakes Orlando, including a Greg Norman-designed championship golf course and the 40,000-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Spa, as well as three pools, including the winding lazy river at JW Marriott, and 15 dining outlets.
