Big Cedar Lodge resort in Ridgedale, MO., has launched caddie program at its Payne’s Valley course, designed by Tiger Woods, with an eye on expanding the program to its other four courses in the future.
The current stable of caddies is a mix of experienced professionals and local caddies learning the trade.
Forecaddies will assist foursomes by providing services such as ball-tracking, bunker maintenance, course repair, club cleaning and more, with a potential for walking or bag carrying caddies to be added at a later date.
Caddie requests must be emailed to email@example.com three days in advance of play. Guests will pay a recommended caddie fee and/or suggested gratuity directly to the caddie at the end of their round, based on the level of service they feel they received.
This addition of the caddie program at the 4,600-acre property in the Missouri Ozarks will continue to build Big Cedar’s reputation as an elite golf destination and puts the property in the mix with other distinguished golf resorts such as Streamsong (Fla.) and Bandon Dunes (Ore.).
