Fern Street Wine Bar & Kitchen, the new Downtown West Palm Beach Arts District restaurant focused on sustainable dining in a gallery setting, will open Lunch Break in its outdoor mural garden April 26. The new concept – from Nick Scalisi and Chris Muneio of Studio District Group – incorporates Fern Street’s philosophy of using only clean, quality ingredients free of nitrates, antibiotics and GMOs and Chef Eddy Zapil’s Latin heritage.
Lunch Break will be open Monday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We wanted to create a concept where diners can count on a quick lunch that’s still elevated and incorporates quality ingredients, unique flavor combinations and a fun vibe, which is what our Fern Street customers have come to expect from us,” said Scalisi, co-owner of Studio District Group.
“Lunch Break marks an important step in Studio District Group’s expansion, and we look forward to introducing our newest dining experience to area residents, professionals and visitors,” said Chris Muneio, co-owner, Studio District Group.
The menu features a mix of tacos, garnachas (fried tortillas with meat and cheese), pupusas (stuffed corn cakes), empanadas, ceviche, salads, sandwiches, and snacks ranging from $4-$13. Standout items include tempura fish tacos topped with pickled fruits, veggies and Latin slaw; hanger steak garnacha; pork belly pupusa, and a ceviche tostada prepared with local fish, as well as a selection of vegan items. Beverages include a selection of house-made fruit and herb water, kombucha and cold brew.
Guests can use casual outdoor seating surrounded by oversized murals by local artists and lush plants. Take-out will also be available.
