Here’s a great deal from one of South Florida’s great resorts. As more people get vaccinated and again think about traveling, JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura is offering special rates and other benefits to some of South Florida’s hardworking heroes who have been working nonstop during this challenging time. Offers can be booked now and are effective through Sept. 30.
The Appreciation Rate (Special Rate Code ZTC) is available to all South Florida teachers, active-duty military personnel, police and fire and rescue workers. Based on availability, rooms are offered at $152 for military, police, and fire and rescue workers and $179 for teachers, single or double occupancy, Sunday through Thursday, with select weekends available.
This rate represents up to a 50 percent discount off standard rates for this summer and includes upgrade to next best room type upon arrival (based on availability) and 10 percent discount off of food purchases at CORSAIR Kitchen + Bar, the resort’s three meal a day “healthy comfort” food American restaurant and Freestyle, a casual poolside eatery. ID is required at time of booking and food order.
All rates are subject to a $44 resort fee and state and local taxes. Resort fee includes the usual amenities such as WIFI and fitness center access, but most impressively, includes entry to Tidal Cove, the resort’s terrific water park and poolscape.
Cancellation policy is seven days advance for April/May and three days for June and beyond.
JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa also features one of the Miami area’s top spas and wellness center; two golf courses, and multiple dining outlets, including Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak.
Tidal Cove which opened summer 2019 as part of the resort’s $265 million renovation, features a 60-foot tower with seven water slides, a 4,000-square-foot kids pool with an aquatic play structure, the first FlowRider Triple surf simulation pool in the nation and an additional VIP pool area for adults. In addition to the new slides, existing facilities include a zero-entry pool and a Lazy River that winds through a peaceful one-eighth mile of tropical foliage inspired by the local South Florida surroundings.
State and local COVID protocols are in effect throughout the property since re-opening last year, following Marriott International’s Commitment to Clean program, including limiting admission to Tidal Cove, which is open to hotel guests and members; and to the public on a limited basis via a resort day membership based on hotel occupancy.
