KemperSports has named Jon Cheshire vice president of operations for the company’s Northeast region. Cheshire will oversee all facets of operations for the company’s growing portfolio of properties in the Northeast – private clubs and daily fee courses – while expanding KemperSports’ footprint in the region.
“Jon has excelled in his role as regional operations executive, successfully leading the region to near record growth,” said Steve Skinner, CEO of KemperSports. “Jon has a wealth of experience in multiple segments and is well-deserving of this promotion.”
Cheshire joined KemperSports in January 2020 as a regional operations executive, overseeing the company’s northeast portfolio, serving as a key player in contract renewals and supporting the business development team with new projects.
KemperSports builds, owns, leases and manages golf courses, resorts, athletic clubs and lodging venues across the U.S. and Caribbean. The company manages a portfolio that includes nationally-ranked courses, private clubs, municipal courses and tournament venues, such as Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Streamsong Resort; The Glen Club; Desert Willow Golf Resort; and Chambers Bay, host of the 2015 U.S. Open.
