Dine in Miami’s Great Outdoors

As the weather cools – and the torrential downpours leave – now is a great time for outdoors dining in Miami and South Florida. Here are a few of my favorite SoFla Alfresco dining spots:

1 Beach Club at 1 Hotel South Beach

The highly-anticipated 1 Beach Club at 1 Hotel South Beach is a bohemian inspired open-air venue of the hotel, featuring Wave, a sea-to-table restaurant, and an outdoor beachfront club with a dedicated members’ only lounge. 1 Beach Club infuses 1’s signature aesthetic of mindfulness and wellness throughout the outdoor retreat, with sustainable architecture and design at the core of the experience. The beachfront restaurant also features sea-to-table fare that is balanced by the local Latin flavors. 1 Beach Club is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Located on the 15th floor of W Miami, ADDiKT at W Miami has unobstructed views of the Miami River and the Downtown skyline. ADDiKT is open for dinner service Thursday – Saturdays from 5 pm to 10 pm.

Mayami Mexicantina

In the heart of Miami’s artistic Wynwood neighborhood, Mayami is the newest Mexican Cantina & Bar brought to life by White Feather MGT, the team behind El Patio Wynwood. The 10,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor restaurant and lounge transports guests to ancient Maya Civilization with Mayan Revival architecture, traditional Mexican cuisine, upbeat party-atmosphere with Tulum vibes, crafted cocktails and insect-infused Mezcal shots. Led by Executive Chef Juan Carlos Flores, the menu offers antojitos, ceviches, tacos, strong entrees, and includes signature dishes such as Fundidos de Queso, Carnitas de Salmon, Volcan de Res Tacos, Filete Negro, Branzino A La Talla, and Pozole. It also features a wide variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Margot at Nikki Beach

Margot at Nikki Beach is the latest creation from Bar Lab founders Elad Zvi and Gabe Orta. A new natural wine pop-up concept located at one of South Beach’s most iconic properties, Margot is one of the few spots in Miami Beach to enjoy a glass of natural wine with your feet in the sand. Set in a palm tree lined corner of Nikki Beach’s South of Fifth beach club oasis, Margot at Nikki Beach is an ideal location for a beachy, socially distanced experience. The concept is dedicated to eco-friendly practices, including sourcing sustainable, natural wines and eliminating single-use plastic.
