Eat and drink through Super Bowl Week in South Florida

 

Miami and South Florida each are known for their food, drinks and parties. As Super Bowl week begins – with the game on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens – here’s a look at some great food, drink and party sports from Miami Beach to Palm Beach County.

26 Sushi & Tapas (Surfside)

A local favoite for Latin-Asian Nikkei cuisine, 26 Sushi & Tapas is offering a $100 Classic Sushi Platter (12 classic rolls); $120 Mixed Sushi Platter (six specialty rolls and six classic rolls) and a $150 Specialty Platter (12 specialty rolls). to keep family and friends satisfied during the biggest game of the year.

Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop (Wynwood Miami)

Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop in February will offer the Munchies Pie – FD’s signature Graham cracker crust, butter, honey, semi-sweet chocolate, peanut M&M’s, peanuts, Ruffles potato chips, salted pretzels, condensed milk and dulce de leche baked into one globular pie. You can also turn Fireman Derek’s Munchie Pie into a milkshake – all day, every day between now through Feb. 29 until it returns again in April 2020.

Executive Chef Vijay Veena will present a buffet that will feature traditional and non-traditional selections from the Far East as well as several dessert and raw bar selections. Diners can expect an enhanced carving station featuring culinary elements incorporated from regional areas of the competing teams. Also available will be a BBQ station with game day classics. Guests may also indulge in free-flowing Louis Roederer Champagne, Mimosas, Bloody Marys and enhanced beer and wine selections while listening to live music in the courtyard. The brunch is priced at $145+ per person and $65+ per child (ages 5-12 years old) from 11:30AM – 3PM. Valet costs $17 per car with validation. Reservations are required.

Le Chick/Le CoqTail (Wynwood Miami)

On Game Day, the restaurant will host an intimate watch party where the game with be tlevised outdoors. The restaurant will also offer its limited time Hot Wings – deep fried wings, tossed in sriracha vinegar hot sauce and topped with fresh chives. Combination deals for the festivities are as follows:
COMBO 1: 12 Hot Wings + 2 Draft Beers ($24)
COMBO 2: 6 Hot Wings + 1 Draft Beer ($15)
Guests can also get Le Chicks’s signature menu of BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Fried Chicken Bun and the Royale Cheeseburger – all Le Chick signature items.

Lure Fishbar (Miami Beach)

The South Beach (in at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel) outpost of the popular, seafood-centric SoHo restaurant will be celebrating game with a delicious discount – the Bash Burger Bowl Week. Guests can get the notorious Lure Burger “Bash Style”— my favorite SoBe burger and five-time winner of the New York Food and Wine Festival’s Burger Bash paired with a craft beer of choice for just $25 on Jan. 27 through Feb. 2.

Lure Fishbar is open for dinner from 6PM to 11PM Monday-Saturday and 6PM to 10PM Sundays. Happy Hour is offered seven days a week from 6PM to 7:30PM at the bar.

Taurus Beer & Whiskey House (Coconut Grove)

Toro Toro (Miami)

Located steps away from Super Bowl Village in Downtown Miami, Toro Toro – inside the InterContinental Miami – one of the Miami’s top restaurants. Created by celebrity Chef Richard Sandoval, Toro Toro is a Pan-Latin interpretation of a contemporary steakhouse that celebrates Latin American flavors through a menu of shareable plates and craft cocktails.

Toro Toro will be offering a specialty pre-game day lunch buffet ($21++ per person) on Feb. 1, featuring gameday finger foods such as wings, nachos, onion rings and more along with beer bucket specials.

 

DUNE (Fort Lauderdale)

DUNE will celebrate the game with a watch party priced at $75++ per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity) which includes open bar and food from kickoff until the final whistle. Open bar will include a tap takeover with Funky Buddha (Floridian, Hop Gun, Eternal Summer, Pineapple Beach), select wines and game day-inspired cocktails from premier beverage group, Pernod Ricard.

Lona Cocina Y Tequileria (Fort Lauderdale Beach)

On Feb. 2, guests will receive margaritas, Mexican cuisine and a lovers will enjoy a chance to win a one-year bar tab at the restaurant, located in the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Offering casual American waterfront dining by Executive Chef Bruce Feingold with views overlooking Delray Beach’s intracoastal waterway, Deck 84 is a great dining destination for vacationers, boaters and local residents in search of prime outdoor seating. Deck 84 will offer half-priced drinks at the bar and high tops during the game along with several food specials. Guests are also invited to pre-game the kickoff festivities with live music from 2PM-5:30PM.

Prezzo (Boca Raton)

The storied Italian eatery will offer several takeout packages for those looking to celebrate Game Day Sunday at home. Guests are able to customize orders; additional a la carte options also available. All takeout package orders must be placed by Jan. 29.
