Calaveras Cantina celebrating Day of the Dead in grand style

Calaveras Cantina, the terrific Mexican restaurant in Jupiter, Fla.’s Harbourside Place, is celebrating Dia de los Muertos, otherwise known as “Day of the Dead ,” Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

“We are excited to once again share one of our favorite Mexican holidays with the community,” said Calaveras Cantina owner Curtis Peery, a fifth-generation Floridian who was born in Miami and raised in Palm Beach Gardens. “Calaveras means ‘skeleton’ in Spanish. Fans of our Jupiter restaurant and the famous Mexican holiday already know that our year-round décor is intentionally ‘Day of the Dead’ themed.”

Live music will fill the air Oct. 31-Nov. 2 when Calaveras Cantina’s favorite mariachi band performs from 7-9 pm each day. Face painting for the kids, and plenty of delicious food specials, will also be happening. Happy Hour pricing will be available all day.

Calaveras Cantina serves brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends, with live music until 3 p.m. Happy Hour is every evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a second Late Night Happy Hour from 10 p.m. until close with the full menu available until 11:00 pm.

In addition, the restaurant offers Margarita Mondays with $5 specialty margaritas, $2 Taco Tuesdays (àl a carte, dine-in only), Guac-Down Wednesdays (my favorite) featuring half-priced tableside guacamole all day long, and Thursday Ladies Night, which offers Happy Hour specials all night long.
