Sky Shed rooftop bar and lounge opens at new Kimpton Armory Hotel in Bozeman, Mt.

Sky Shed rooftop lounge and pool at the new Kimpton Armory Hotel has opened nine stories above Bozeman, Montana’s historic downtown. As Bozeman’s only rooftop pool and bar, Sky Shed offers an indoor and outdoor experience for every season. Sky Shed completes the restaurant and lounge experience at the Kimpton Armory Hotel, which opened this past August.

The glass-enclosed indoor-outdoor Sky Shed space offers a clean design with plush seating and hints of lush greenery to complement the sweeping mountain views. Fire pits are found throughout the outdoor space to provide for guests to warm up on crisp evenings.

“Sky Shed is unlike anything else in Bozeman,” said Aaron Whitten, general manager of the Kimpton Armory Hotel. “It’s a social space with 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains providing the perfect place to bask in our amazing sunsets, stargaze or to just relax by the fire on a cool fall evening. During the day, our heated pool is a great place to unwind after a day of play in the mountains.”

Under the direction of Chef Mark Musial, Sky Shed’s Pan Asian menu features sharable bites. Signature menu selections include Korean Meatballs with pork, beef, shitake mushrooms and soy glaze, Larb Salad featuring chicken and lemongrass with ginger, chili in lettuce pockets, as well as Shrimp Skewers, Cold Noodle Salad and Korean Hanger Steak.

Sky Shed’s extensive cocktail program, created by Beverage Manager Matthew Betts, showcases celebratory style beverages and flirty cocktails. Signature cocktails include the Hummingbird, made with Plantation pineapple rum, Bulleit bourbon, St. George pear brandy, St. Elizabeth allspice dram, cinnamon and lime.

Other signature drinks pay homage to the region and views found at Sky Shed, including the Bridger Express made with Ruby River gin, St. Germain elderflower, ginger and lemon, and Hang Glider, featuring pink peppercorn infused Hangar One vodka, Aperol, Amaro Nonino and lemon.

A selection of microbrews include the local Bozeman Gallatin Pale Ale.
