Streamsong Resort’s terrific Lakeside Lodge will re-open on May 15 after being closed the past few
weeks because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although some activities will be limited or unavailable given
safety precautions at this time, guests of the Central Florida resort will be able to play the resort’s Gil
Hanse-designed Black Course, an outstanding layout that pays homage to minimalist design.
Streamsong’s Blue and Streamsong Red courses each are currently undergoing a re-grassing project with anticipated opening in October. The greens on each course are being re-grassed with a much-heralded Mach 1 ultradwarf grass. Mach 1 has been described as akin to the fabled Poa annua greens at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
In addition to Streamsong Black, players have complimentary access to the two-acre, 18-hole putting green, The Gauntlet, as well as the Roundabout, the resort’s free-flowing practice area.
Streamsong officials says they have taken all necessary precautions to ensure that social distancing is easily achieved for all staff and players throughout the property.
