Saiko-i Sushi Lounge & Hibachi in Boca Raton – my favorite Japanese/Chinese eatery in Boca – will celebrate its second anniversary with a party on the evening on March 4.
Each dining guest will receive a ticket for a free drink from the Happy Hour menu of wine, beer, mixed drinks, and specialty cocktails. Every patron at the indoor/outdoor bar and on the patio, will also receive complimentary appetizers from 6 pm to 9 pm.
The party will include entertainment by lion dancers and by a DJ throughout the evening. The lion dance is a traditional dance, which is performed in China and other Asian countries, where performers mimic the movements of a lion while wearing brightly colored lion costumes- to bring fortune and good luck. In Chinese culture, the lion symbolizes wisdom, power, and superiority.
Saiko-i will donate a percentage of each diner’s check, along with Buddha dining dollars –money that diners have placed at the Buddha statue in the entryway of the restaurant –to Boca Helping Hands.
Saiko-i has been aligned with Boca Helping Hands, since August of 2019.
Boca Helping Hands is a community-based nonprofit that provides food, and medical and financial assistance, to meet basic human needs, as well as education, job training, and guidance to create self-sufficiency. BHH distributes more than 70,000 pantry bags filled with groceries, each year to qualified Palm Beach County residents in Boca Raton, West Boca, and Boynton Beach.
