Eat and Party in the New Year in South Florida

Still looking for a spot -or spots – to ring in 2020? Here are some of my favorite South Florida restaurants and bars to welcome the New Year:

Scusi Trattoria (Palm Beach Gardens)


Chef Laurent Tourondel’s great new coastal Italian dining experience will offer a first and second seating. Starting at 8pm, second-seating guests will be offered a three-course prix fixe menu with additional holiday specials, while enjoying live music and a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight for $95 per person. First-seating guest will be offered the regular dinner menu as well as an a la carte offering of the holiday specials.

The popular eatery’s New Year’s Eve Party – 8pm to – 12:30am begins with a cocktail reception and welcome appetizers before guests take a seat inside the Oak Room for a seated three-course dinner from Chef Michael Schenk.

With soup and salad to start, entrée choices to follow include Petit Herb Roasted Sirloin Steak and Ginger Soy Glazed Salmon with the one night-only Ch-2-o{c}2o-late torte for dessert.

A cash bar will be available and when the clock strikes 12am, toast to 2020 with a glass of complimentary champagne.

$100/person (includes tax and gratuity)

Bellini Restaurant & Bar (Mr C Miami)

With two seating times, guests will have the chance to get an italian-style menu with a range of contemporary Italian flavors. Dishes include Tagliardi with short rib ragu, seared branzino, Fritto di scampi with tartare sauce, and Roasted Colorado Lamb. Guests who want to continue celebrating will have the opportunity to buy tickets and ring in the new year while they sip on drinks and dance the night away to live music at the Starlight Ballroom.

ADDiKT Modern Kitchen

Celebrate NYE with a four-course prix-fixe dinner at 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Menu items will include tenderloin tartare, duck confit, grilled lobster tail, pan seared loup de mer, and chocolate clafoutis. Prices range from $125 per person with a glass of champagne or $175 per person with wine pairings.

Diplomat Beach Resort (Hollywood)

The resort’s off the chain Diplomat Prime steakhouse will offer a
$195+ four-course prix fixe menu with a Veuve Cliquot Toast (6pm Seating); and
$295+ four-course prix fixe menu with a Veuve Cliquot Toast (9pm Seating)
Midnight Champagne Toast

Menu will include Tuna Carpaccio with Caviar & Grilled Sourdough; Wagyu Filet Mignon and South African Coldwater Lobster Tail; and
Crab Stuffed Branzino with Brown Butter Lemon Caper Sauce

Seawell Fish N’ Oyster (Miami Beach)

The new coastal American seafare restaurant is located inside Kimpton Angler’s Hotel South Beach. Upon arrival, each guest will receive three complimentary oysters and a glass of bubbles along with a token to ring in the new year on the hotel rooftop. In addition to the regular a la carte dinner menu, Executive Chef Julian Garriga’s dinner specials for the evening include: Foie Gras with caramel apple and brioche; Spicy Lobster Bucatini; Porchetta made with smoked polenta, black truffle; and a two-pound Grilled Lobster with black truffle butter. Dinner service begins at 6 pm and will go until 11 pm.

Looking to drink past midnight? Guests can head over to the sister bar, Minnow Bar, for the Sippin’ Santa pop-up open until 2 am with tiki-inspired cocktails and décor.


Bulla Gastrobar (Coral Gables, Doral)

Ring in the New Year with a NYE four-course prix-fixe menu for $60 per person, highlighting dish favorites such as the Churrasco, Tuna Tartar, Salmon Carpaccio and Arroz Caldoso and more. Sweet treats include the Churros con Chocolate, Flan de Coco and Torrija. Bulla Gastrobar will offer 25 percent off of all bottles of sparkling wine, complimentary paella tastings throughout the evening and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.


Boulud Sud (Miami)

New Year’s Eve at Daniel Boulud’s very own Boulud Sud, located in the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, will have two seating options. The “Early Seating”, with choices such as Black Truffle Risotto and Beef Duo with Strip Loin and Braised Short Rib, will be available from 5:30 pm-8:00 pm, consisting of a three-course meal for $85 per person, with the optional wine pairing for $55 per person. The second seating, known as the “Gala Seating”, will be available from 9:00 pm-10:30 pm, consisting of a five-course meal for $175 per person and an optional wine pairing for $75 per person.


Cleo South Beach

Those seeking a family style dinner gathering can join Cleo South Beach for an evening of terrific Meditteranean. For $75 a person, guests will be able to choose four dishes and one dessert. Options include a traditional Lebaneh, Brussel Sprout Chips, Mushroom Flatbread and Apricot Lamb. Dessert is a selection of either Sticky Toffee Pudding and Yogurt Panna Cotta. Dinner will be served from 6 pm to midnight.


CVLTVRA Kitchen & Lounge


The NYE menu will feature a special three-course menu by Chef Fabian Di Paolo with an additional amuse-bouche (bite-sized hous d’oeuvre), Dishes will include Tuna Poke, Foie Gras & Filet and Organic Roasted Chicken, with desserts such as Dark Chocolate & Orange Ganache and Tres Leches Panettone Baked Alaska. Dinner will be available from 5 pm to 8:30 pm for $75 per person plus tax.


Fi’Lia South Beach

For $85 per person, guests will receive three courses and a glass of champagne with their meal. The first course is the Truffle Arancini and Arugula Salad. The second course is a bowl of Cacio e Pepe & Black Truffle pasta. The main course is a Surf & Turf paired with Tuscan Lentils and roasted potatoes. The dessert is a choice of Tiramisu and Panna Cotta. Dinner will be served from 6 p. to midnight.


The Garden (Miami Beach)

Miami Beach’s new, jungle-inspired outdoor restaurant and lounge will feature live entertainment and dancing under the stars. Guests ($100 per person) can watch live performance artists while dining on a prix fixe menu that includes Beef Carpaccio, Foie Gras Torchon and Tuna Tartare to start, followed by main courses of Chilean seabass, grass-fed New York strip steak, lamb chops and mushroom risotto. For dessert, indulge with chocolate mousse or “24 Karat Coconut.” Cheers to 2020 with a complimentary glass of champagne then stay to party with a DJ and dance floor.


Hutong (Miami)

One of the hotter new restaurants in Miami, this contemporary Northern Chinese restaurant will be serving its occasionally fiery a la carte dinner menu all night long where guests can enjoy signature dishes, including the Red Lantern, the Halibut Red Star Noodles, Peking Duck, Dim Sum Platter and more. The night will be complete with tunes by a DJ along with New Year’s themed-party favors and a countdown to 2020. The best part, guests can take in the 70-foot illuminating wall of colors.


Habitat at 1 Hotel South Beach

New Years Eve at Habitat will feature a three course prix fixe menu curated by Chef Thanawat Bates. Diners have the option to choose between an early bird dinner before their night out, or make it their final stop of the night by reserving at 9:00 pm with a bottle of champagne. Prices for the early bird dinner ranges from $65 – $175 per person, while prices for the second seating ranges from $65 – $225 per person. Kids are also welcomed on the second floor of the restaurant for a fun escape which will include games and activities.


Hiden (Miami)

Already a legend, Hiden is an eight-seat, 15-course omakase secret speakeasy tucked away in the back of the Taco Stand in Wynwood. It will have two NYE seatings – 6:30 pm and 10 pm. The restaurant will be serving a special New Year’s omakase menu with fresh ingredients flown straight from Japan. The dinner will cost $200 per person with an optional $200 champagne pairing.


Venue: Juvia (Miami)

Surrounded by Lincoln Road’s cosmopolitan vibe and unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean and South Beach’s famed Art Deco District, the ambiance at Juvia exudes understated luxury. Two seatings are available on December 31, at 6 pm. and 8 pm. The family style tasting menu at 6 p.m. will be $250 per person and includes Moet Chandon. The second seating at 8 pm will be $450 per person and includes a half Dom Perignon Brut, or for $100 more, you can get a half Dom Perignon Rose.

Katsuya Brickell

Guests looking to ring in the New Year can get a prix-fixe Japanese-inspired meal from Katsuya Brickell for $197 per couple. Dishes are served family-style, and for $65 per guest, are paired with fine wines specifically selected to enhance each course. Starters include sashimi, tempura and Katusya’s speciality signature baked crab. For the main course, guests will dine on king crab, black cod, wagyu gyoza and short rib. Before starting New Year’s resolutions, guests can get Katsuya bread pudding and chocolate miso lava cake to end the meal. NYE dinner will be served during the regular dinner times.


Komodo (Miami)

David Grutman’s Brickell hotspot will offer prix-fixe menus featuring dishes such as crispy duck salad, mushroom & truffle dim sum, grilled branzino, szechuan beef, and more. First seating will take place 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm at $115 per guest. Second seating will take place 9:00 pm and 10:30 pm at $225 per guest. Those who want to keep the party going can head upstairs to Komodo Lounge for open bar and passed hors d’oeuvres from 9:00 pm /at $125 per guest. After midnight, those who dined during the second seating will have complimentary entry to Komodo Lounge – based on availability.


NaiYaRa (Miami Beach)

Details: NaiYaRa uses simple ingredients and creates innovative twists on traditional sushi and Thai food. On New Year’s Eve, in addition to its menu, the restaurant will offer three open bar packages, starting at $50 per person
– Package 1 – $50/person includes mixed drinks
– Package 2 – $75/person includes premium mixed drinks + bottle of champagne
– Package 3 – $100/person includes ultra premium drinks + bottle of champagne


Orilla Bar & Grill (Miami Beach)

Orilla Bar & Grill at Urbanica The Euclid hotel provides spectacular views of an open kitchen churning out a flavorful menu, alongside pastry delicacies in an indoor and outdoor setting with plant-filled mural walls. Helmed by executive chef Fernanado Trocca, enjoy the Chef Tasting Menu that offers curated selection of South American & European-inspired global cuisine for $120 per person.


Papi Steak (Miami Beach)

David Grutman’s newest celeb hotspot, Papi Steak, is inviting guests to ring in the New Year in style. Celebrate the last night of 2019 with a family style meal inclusive of hamachi crudo, grilled branzino, latkes, mac & cheese, bone-in dry aged NY strip, and Papi Steak. The menu will be offered during three seatings — the first between 6 pm and 6:30 pm ($100 per person); the second between 8 pm and 8:30 pm


Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar (Doral, Kendall)


The Peruvian staple serves a menu that is the perfect mix between new and traditional flavors, including bold-flavored dishes, unique cocktails and a vast selection of beers. On Dec. 31, Pisco will offer a four course Prix-Fixe Menu that includes Ceviche Mixto, Conchitas a la Parmesana, Lomo Saltado, Tostones, and Arroz con Leche Cheesecake.


Planta South Beach

Special plant-based prix-fixe menu will include Moo Shu Vegetables, Eggplant Nigiri, Hearts of Palm Slaw and Soft Serve and Chocolate Truffles for dessert. First seating reservations available between 5:30 pm and 6:30 p.m. at $55 per person; second seating taking place between 7:30 pm and 8:30 p.m. at $80 per person; and third seating taking place between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at $80 per person. Guests can additionally celebrate the new year at the NYE Countdown Party starting at 10:30 pm with a $65 open bar and passed canapes for a New Year’s Eve to remember.



Celebrating the New Year with a special Midnight in Paris theme, David Grutman and Pharrell Williams’ Swan will offer a four-course prix fixe menu in Miami’s most instagrammable restaurant. Highlights from the holiday menu include burrata, corn corn corn, seared scallops, duck breast, and strawberry pavlova for dessert. First seating reservations between 6 pm and 7:30 pm are $95 per person; second seating taking place between 9:00 pm and 10:30 pm at $150 per person. Guests also have the option of adding bottomless champagne ranging from $95-195 per guest.


The Bazaar by José Andrés (Miami Beach)

The Bazaar by Jose Andres will have two NYE seatings at 7 pm and 9 pm. The tasting menu for seating one costs $175 per person with a bottle of Nicholas Feuillate or $375 per person with a bottle of Dom Perignon. Food items include: spicy tuna cone, tempura shiso leaf, king crab, smoked oysters and more. The tasting menu for seating two costs $350 per person with a bottle of Nicholas Feuillate or $500 per person with Dom Perignon. The second seating menu includes: roasted branzino, croquetas de bacalao, 60-day, dry, aged rib-eye and much more. Guests can finish the night with an open bar at Bar Centro form 12 am – 2 am., the restaurant’s chic outdoor patio overlooking the glowing hotel pool.


Steak 954 (Fort Lauderdale)

Located at the W Fort Lauderdale, the contemporary steakhouse will serve a-la carte specials such as Osteria Caviar, American Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, and a 14 oz Veal Loin as entrees, and Grand Marnier Souffleé made with Crème fraiche ice cream and blood orange and Crème brulee made with Malted strawberry crumble and meyer lemon curd for desserts.

Leynia (South Beach)

Jose Icardi’s Argentinean grill, Leynia, is located within the iconic Delano South Beach. The specially crafted NYE menu will be served during two seatings at 6 pm and 9 pm. The first seating ($175 per person) is a four-course dinner of delectable menu items such as Crispy Tuna with thai chilies and ponzu sauce, Porcini Ravioli with umami crema, and New York Steak with celery root and malbec sauce. The second seating ($375 per person) will consist of five-courses including dishes such as the Crispy Tuna that will be served with caviar and gold flakes, Surf & Turf, and Sea Bass with tatsuya sauce and roasted squash. Guests who dine during the second seating will have access to the NYE party at Delano Beach Club along with a complimentary drink.


Table 55 (Miami)

With Table 55 being a restaurant that embraces sustainability and local farms, it’ll help you feel a little less guilty on New Year’s Eve partying hard. Two seatings are available on Dec. 31, at 6 pm and 9 pm. Dishes will include Bone in Pork Loin, Rotisserie Style Black Beauty Chicken, Juniper-Crusted Duck Breast, Surf and turf and Braised Short Rib. Finish the night off with Afagto, or a Sorbet Flight. The second seating menu of six 6courses include: spinach and radicchio salad, Lobster Bisque Soup, Seared Scallops, Surf and Turf, with Afagto and Assorted Chocolates.


Donna Mare (Miami Beach)

Located in the Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, the menu include guests favorites such as king crab, oysters, smoked salmon, chestnut soup, Risotto ai Funghi, Garganelli pasta alla Genovese with slow cooked short ribs, black angus prime rib, seared branzino with lobster bisque, and many pizzas such as a quattro formaggi and Margharita. Don’t forget to save room for dessert as panettone, mini cannolis, tiramisu, macaroons, and assorted profiteroles will be served!


Fi’lia Brickell

Indulge with an Italian feast at Fi’lia located in the SLS Brickell. For $145 per person, guests will be able to enjoy a four-course meal that includes signature menu items such as Cauliflower and Caviar Crispy cannelloni, Tuna Carpaccio with mandarin, cashews and foie gras “snow,” Ribeye served with forbidden “risotto” and black truffle, and a surprise treat for dessert.

Diez y Seis

Diez y Seis, located in the oceanfront Shore Club, will have family style, prix-fixe an NYE menu with two seatings – 6 pm – 8:30 pm for $75 per person and from 9 pm – 11 pm for $120 per person. Seating one’s menu includes: tuna tartare, guacamole lobster, smoked mushroom steak and cauliflower. The menu for seating two includes: tuna tostada and caviar, tamal, lobster al pastor and more with a champagne toast.



Rooftop at E11EVEN (Miami)

The Rooftop at E11EVEN will have a three-course New Year’s Eve dinner menu priced at $85 per person for the 7 pm seating time and $125 per person for the 9:00 pm and 11 pm seating times. The night doesn’t stop there… continue the party downstairs at E11EVEN Miami, the world’s only 24/7 ultraclub with a live performance from Snoop Dogg.


Venue: Three (Miami)

Three will offer a specially crafted prix-fixe New Year’s Eve dinner menu that includes steak tartare, roasted foie gras, nantucket bay scallops, and roasted dry aged duck. The prix-fixe menu costs $95 per person with an optional wine pairing for an additional $55.

Prime 112 (Miami Beach)

The restaurant will host a 10 pm Cristal seating for $300 per person, with each couple receiving a bottle of Cristal. Guests can enjoy dinner while being entertained by DJ Vertigo.

Venue: Upland (Miami Beach)

Celebrate the new year at the California hotspot in SoFi. Upland will be offering the regular a la carte dinner menu including standouts like the Cacio e Pepe; Branzino for Two; and Wood Fire Prawns.
