After renovations to the restaurant, Collab Hospitality on Dec. 12 will re-open Hai House on Palm Beach with a revised seasonal menu and under the leadership of executive chef Malcham Williams. Williams has developed a menu that will continue to offer Hai House favorites, as well as a variety of new specialty dishes.
“Our focus will be on classic flavors, fresh ingredients that are well executed and presented in a way that we believe Palm Beach will love,” Williams said. “This season, we are focused on consistency and execution, and I am excited to show the town what we have come up with. It’s the Chinese food they told us they wanted.”
Classic dishes such as sweet and sour, kung pao, honey garlic, and lo mein will be offered in combination with chicken, beef, shrimp, pork or tofu. New specialty dishes, such as Palm Beach Moo Shoo, will join previously-offered dishes, including Mangolian beef and whole crispy snapper, as well as Hai House favorite, whole roasted Peking duck served with buns and pancakes. A generous dim sum menu will continue to be offered and will include such items as housemade chicken soup dumplings, pork potstickers, and crab rangoon.
A new addition will include the Hai duck wings, roasted and glazed and served as a part of the new small plate menu section. A beverage menu featuring hand-crafted cocktails and custom-created craft beers will also be served.
Hai House will be open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. with Happy Hour at the bar from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Happy Hour will feature half-priced dim sum, a rotating menu of small plate specials, and two-for-one drinks.
The restaurant will be open on Christmas Day with a special four-course prix fixe menu featuring a choice of dim sum or soup, small plate, classic entree and dessert for $65 per person and $25 per child.
Hai House is also introducing a new special event program in its private dining space. With seating for up to 30 guests, the room and private dining offer includes family-style portions of classic and signature dishes with options of passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, private service, and other add-ons. Packages begin at $65 per person.
