Arcadia Earth: Rainbow Cave Installation– open to public

Created from approximately 50,000 salvaged plastic bags -equal to the amount used in Florida State every four minutes – and salvaged fishing nets, artist Basia Goszczynska’s Rainbow Cave celebrates upcycling and the positive effects of color on the human psyche. The work draws attention to the ubiquity of single use plastic bags while encouraging optimistic engagement with environmental issues.

1 Hotel South Beach has partnered for the fifth consecutive year with renowned Canadian visual artist Daniel Mazzone. He will display his latest works in an open-to-the public exhibition located in the Terra Gallery.

Miami-based lifestyle and design gallery, Platform by Sogol Décor, has curated a series of artist activations led by Platform artists. Collaborating artists will provide interactive experiences that are reflective of environmentally sustainable thought and practice, thereby promoting both environmental and spiritual wellness and complimenting the 1 Hotel mission to capture the beauty of nature while building a platform for change.
1. VR Chakra Expansion with VRomatherapy by Alissa Christine – open to public

Alissa Christine creates immersive journeys combining Healing Arts and Virtual Reality Art. Using Google TiltBrush, she creates 3-dimensional vibrating sculptures of light which can be interactively experienced. Alissa will introduce guests to her “Chakra Goddess Butterfly” virtual reality art piece.
2. Live Fashion Sketches by Bruno Romagné – open to public

French fashion designer and painter Bruno Romagné will feature a live installation of his figure-model fashion sketches in Drift during Art Basel. Bruno’s live drawings reflect Art Week’s heavy design and fashion influences that can be seen throughout town. and on all guests visiting the art fairs. His sketches will be an artful keepsake for 1 Hotel guests, presented on recycled remnant fabric and paper materials from his atelier.
3. Hand Stamped Jewelry by Adrianna Albani Becchi [AmLove] – open to public

Adrianna, founder of AmLove Design, will be at 1 Hotel creating hand-stamped jewelry pieces portraying symbols of love and harmony for guests. She will be stamping a heart symbol on silver or gold-filled discs, which will then be put onto a nylon string and can be worn as a bracelet or anklet. Guests can customize their gifts by selecting how they want to wear it.
The Pauze: Art Basel Edition – open to public

Guests are invited to experience movement, sound, drumming, essential oils, and more to cultivate a culture that transforms. This event is complimentary for 1 Hotel Beach Club members, hotel guests, and RAW Residency Members and is $44 per person for the general public.

Chef Michael Solomonov, American Express Global Dining Collection partner and executive chef/co-owner of Zahav, the trailblazing restaurant that put the rich melting pot of Israeli cuisine at the forefront of dining in America today, is set to debut a three-day pop-up of his Philadelphia outpost at Habitat, 1 Hotel South Beach’s signature restaurant, in partnership with American Express. Guests will enjoy a four-course, family-style dinner that includes signature dishes such as the Zahav Hummus-Tehina, Cauliflower Baba Ganoush, and Bulgarian Lamb Kebab prepared by the five-time James Beard award-winning chef. For the fifth consecutive year, Daniel Mazzone is returning to Art Basel Miami with a debut of his “Life is a Circus” show. Throughout Art Basel week, Anatomy at 1 Hotel South Beach will partner with Black Dove, an art collective representing digital media artists to offer Anatomy Distrikt, a fully immersive series of curated workouts powered by nature-inspired digital art animations. Distrikt will be located in the retail space next to Everything But Water, to the right of the 1 Hotel valet entrance on Collins Avenue. The Anatomy DISTRIKT class schedule will include a wide variety of workout styles with something for everyone. Tickets to all classes are $25, and are available on Eventbrite.
