The Breakers Palm Beach is an iconic and special place any time of the year, but the legendary resort particularly shines during the holidays with décor, elevated dining experiences and an array of activities.
This year, the décor at The Breakers is vibrant colors emanating from the lobby’s new custom-designed, hand-tufted carpet. Enhancements include:
Thousands of soft white lights that wrap the 100 majestic royal palms and Canary Island date trees, lining the hotel’s 1,040 ft. main drive
170,000 twinkle lights, 8,000 ornaments, 12,000 feet of ribbon and 126 bows create a jolly atmosphere
Two 18 foot evergreen trees and a sculptural menorah illuminate the hotel lobby
Flagler Steakhouse showcases a stunning 14 ft. tree in its lobby

Holiday-themed events and activities for guests
On Dec. 25, 2019, The Breaker’s Ponce de Leon Ballroom will host a buffet dinner showcasing classics, such as hand-carved beef tenderloin, savory rack of lamb, the day’s bounty of fresh catches (spiced jumbo shrimp cocktail, Alaskan King crab legs, oysters, clams, caviar, sushi rolls) and an array of desserts (peppermint bark, rich crème brûlée and ornately decorated cakes & pies).

7 PM for $195 per person; $75 for children ages 12 years old and younger.
HMF will once again feature Holiday Tea on December 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28 and 30, from 1:30 – 3:30 PM. Arrive in tea-time attire and enjoy handcrafted tea sandwiches, warm buttermilk scones with Devonshire cream, rose petal jam, fresh fruit preserves and delicate pastries, along with a curated selection of teas for $75 per person ($55 for children ages 12 years old and younger). A selection of bespoke cocktails will also be available for purchase.
In addition, HMF will ring in 2020 with an Ultimate New Year’s Eve Celebration on Dec. 31, 2019. Guests will receive a special multi-course menu, complete with live music, dancing and a Champagne toast at midnight as the ball drops live from Times Square. Reservations are $450 per person. Staggered seating is available at 9 PM, 9:30 PM and 10 PM. This is a 21-year-old plus event.
For a new level of New Year’s Eve luxe, consider the social club’s Communal Table (seats up to 14; $6,300) and ultra-exclusive VIP Wine Room (seats up to 20; $9,000).
Located on the second floor of The Breakers’ Golf and Tennis Clubhouse, Flagler Steakhouse, a vibrant take on the classic American chophouse, will welcome guests for lunch (11 AM – 3 PM) and dinner (4 – 9 PM) on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

On New Year’s Eve, a special three-course, prix-fixe menu will be served from 5:30 – 11 PM and will be available for $295 per person; the regular children’s menu will be available until 6:30 PM (adult pricing will apply to children for reservations after 6:30 PM).
One of the resort’s more stunning spaces, The Circle is dotted with arched windows and glimpses of the ocean. Indulge in creative cocktails, an exquisite one-of-a-kind buffet and signature desserts, with a live harpist playing tableside. Christmas Day and New Year’s Day Brunch will be served from 11 AM – 3 PM for $165 per person; $60 for children ages 12 years old and younger.
New Year’s Eve Fantasy Ball
Dress to the nines and celebrate the arrival of 2020 in The Breaker’s newly renovated Ponce de Leon Ballroom at the annual New Year’s Eve Fantasy Ball. Gather with family and friends at this
black tie event and enjoy an evening of live entertainment, dancing and culinary delights. Taking place from 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM, sip cocktails while enjoying hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a premium raw bar and specialty stations, followed soon after by an artful four-course dinner, complete with wine pairings and an open bar. As midnight nears, opt for a glass of Champagne and get ready to count down in style. A half-hour into the new year, an extensive buffet of breakfast favorites will be the perfect fix after a night of celebration. Reservations are $750 per person.
One of South Florida’s great spas is featuring 50-minute Peppermint Pedicure from The Spa. The experience begins with a peppermint foot soak and sweet sugar scrub to gently exfoliate and rejuvenate tired, achy feet. Next, indulge in a rich hot cocoa, with a hint of mint, while getting a blissful foot massage, followed by a polish, which adds a pop of color. The Peppermint Pedicure is available for $80 and includes a complimentary bottle of polish to take home.
A 50-minute Champagne Wishes Massage ($195) release muscle tension and enhances circulation. A blend of avocado, sweet almond, sesame seed and safflower oils, nourish and moisturize, while powerful antioxidants (including grape seed and vitamin E oils), soothe, protect and regenerate the skin, revealing a healthier, more radiant glow. Retreat to the outdoor courtyard for a complimentary glass of Champagne, while enjoying The Spa’s amenities.
