Echo – the popular Palm Beach restaurant featuring the distinctive cuisines of Asia — has reopened after a full-scale transformation. With a modern, sleek design, the restaurant – owned by The Breakers Palm Beach – now showcases a bold color palette of crimson, black and gold; and natural wood paneling with metallic accents and textured wall treatments.
A bright lipstick-red adds a dramatic pop of color to the serpentine bar in the Dragonfly Lounge, where guests can gather for cocktails, sake and sushi. In addition, the Far East Room, which opens to the terrace, offers private dining for groups up to 65 people.
For guests looking for an alfresco experience, there is dining in the residential atmosphere of Echo’s front terrace and in the back garden. Each space has been enhanced to allow for dining throughout South Florida’s rainy season. The front terrace welcomes groups up to 50 and the garden allows for parties up to 16.
Located in the heart of Palm Beach and only a few minutes from The Breakers, Echo’s full-scale renewal is part of the historic resort’s annual reinvestment of more than $30 million each year in capital improvements and ongoing revitalization
“Echo’s redesign coincides with our 20th anniversary in January 2020,” said Nick Velardo, The Breakers’ Vice President of Food & Beverage. “We are excited to reveal our fresh new look, especially to our loyal guests who have supported us throughout the years. While visitors will be greeted with a more contemporary style, they can expect to experience the same great menu, service and casual sensibility that Echo has become known for.”
The restaurant gives center stage to flavorful specialties of China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Korea. Its menu is framed around five key elements: Wind (small plates to begin the journey), Water (sushi, seafood and shellfish), Fire (creations from the wok), Earth (meat and poultry) and Flavor (desserts and sweets). An impressive selection of cocktails, sake, beer and wine enhance Echo’s Asian flavors.
The restaurant is open daily from 5 – 10 PM; Friday and Saturday Sushi Bar from 5 – 10:30 PM; and Happy Hour Monday to Friday from 5 – 6:30 PM.
