National Pasta Day is Oct. 17. South Florida has some terrific places to find pasta dishes. Here are a few of my favorites:
Donna Mare at Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club (Miami Beach)
Pasta Tuesday Specials all Month long
Located in the heart of Miami Beach at Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, Donna Mare is a trattoria serving locally-sourced traditional Italian fare and seafood. A rare wood-fired oven graces the kitchen where Neapolitan pizza, homemade fresh pastas, local simply grilled wild fish, and grassfed meats are prepared. Donna Mare is celebrating National Pasta Day 2019 by celebrating their 50 percent off pasta specials all month long.

Fi’lia Brickell (Miami)
Located in the luxurious SLS Brickell, Fi’lia Brickell is an Italian eatery in the heart of Miami’s urban Brickell neighborhood that serves up honest Italian food made with the freshest ingredients. On National Pasta Day, Fi’lia Brickell is celebrating by extending its Pasta Monday Specials throughout the whole week. Highlights from the Pasta Monday menu include Fi’lia’s decadent Spaghetti Carbonara, made with made with pancetta, chives, pecorino, and an egg that is mixed into the pasta once it is brought to the table – making for the perfect #yolkporn moment.
Fi’lia South Beach
In the heart of South Beach on Collins Avenue inside the Berkeley Shore Hotel, Fi’lia South Beach. Fi’lia South Beach is offering Pasta Monday Specials every Monday. Highlights from the Pasta Monday menu include Fi’lia’s decadent Rigatoni Bolognese, made with made with traditional veal, pork and beef ragu.
Bellini Restaurant & Bar at Mr. C Coconut Grove
Dish Name: Tagliardi with tartufo nero di norcia
Description of Dish: Transport yourself to Italy with every delicious bite of this Tagliardi, the Cipriani’s interpretation of maltagliati, topped with decadent black truffle -found primarily in the Apennine Mountains located between Umbria, the Marche and Abruzzo.

The Deck at Island Gardens (Miami)
Dish Name: Pear Ravioli with Black Truffle Cream Sauce
Description of Dish: The Deck at Island Gardens is Miami’s most exquisite super-yacht marina outdoor lounge, the perfect environment for guests to wine, dine and dance outdoors. A guest favorite is the Ravioli filled with a symphony of gorgonzola cheese and pear, finished with black truffle cream sauce.

Dish Name: Fire Roasted 30-Layer Lasagna
Description of Dish: Chef Brad Kilgore opened this newest restaurant, Ember, in Miami’s Design District and it just keeps getting hotter. Ember focuses on wood-fired dishes, smoke laden meats, homemade pastas and shareable sides, and delectable desserts from your childhood. The Fire Roasted 30 layer Lasagna, made of 15 layers of pasta and 15 layers of Maitake Bolognese and Gruyere Fondue is cooked in a spanish Josper oven that gets up to 1000 degrees, leaving a flavorful layer of crispness on the outside of the lasagna.

Dish Name: Shrimp and Calamari Pasta
Description of Dish: La Estacion American Brasserie located inside Central Fare on the mezzanine level of the station that serves American food with a French twist. The Shrimp and Calamari Pasta with Calamari, Shrimp in Lobster sauce will make all your carb dreams come true.

Pisco y Nazca Ceviche Gastrobar (Doral, Kendall, DC)
Dish name: Tallarines Verdes
Description: Pisco y Nazca’s Tallarines Verdes are the ultimate fusion between peruvian and italian comforts. The dish features linguini in Peruvian walnut pesto with grilled skirt steak, topped with shaved parmesan cheese and drizzled in traditional huancaina sauce.

Planta South Beach (Miami Beach)
Dish Name: Udon Noodles
Description of Dish: At Miami Beach’s 100 percent plant-based eatery, Planta South Beach, guests can indulge in all their favorite foods guilt-free. Truffle lovers can get in Planta’s creamy Udon Noodles made with a plant-based truffle mushroom cream. Guests can opt to add shaved black truffle for $9 for an extra kick.
