Fresh produce, artisan items, baked goods, art, coffee and more are coming to Surfside, Fla., beginning Sept. 15, as the town hosts its first Surfside Farmers Market. The community event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Sunday in the parking lot on the corner of 95th Street and Collins Avenue.
The Surfside Farmers Market is the brainchild of Javier Valmana, a Surfside resident who is passionate about all things local.
“Farmers markets not only provide a shopping experience like no other, with local organic produce, food and other interesting products,” Valmana said.
The Market is located in the heart of Surfside’s Downtown District and just a block away from the beach.
Valmana is the owner of Wavey Acai Bowls, a pop-up company that sells fresh acai bowls throughout Miami, and which will be present at the Surfside Farmers Market along with more than 20 other local vendors. The list of vendors includes BeCultured (tempeh), Baguette Plus (baked goods), Coco watt (natural fruit slushees), Mind of Art (artistic furniture and house decor), Cauliflower Bites, Soapciety (cosmetic products), Garden Element (plants) and WithCoffee.
