Most massage treatments concentrate on a guest’s body. From head to feet, there nothing like a deep tissue or hot stone massage to sooth what might physically ail you. The Biltmore Spa at The Biltmore Miami, however, goes beyond just the hands-on approach. The Spa, renovated lass than one year ago, goes deep into mind and spirit and anti-aging techniques to provide guests with the ultimate head-to-toe (and beyond) experience.
Miami Spa Months, which runs through Aug. 31, is a great time to well, experience that experience. The Biltmore Spa (32,000 square feet) is offering three specially priced treatments for Spa Months – Mind & Body Balancer ($109) for 70 minutes; Mind & Body Therapy ($139) for 70 minutes; and Mind Beauty Rejuvenation ($109) for 50 minutes.
“We always try to offer special experiences during Spa Months,’’ said Charlotte Prescott, the historic resort’s director of spa and fitness. “Although there are great promotional rates, for many it’s their first time experiencing the Spa with us. We want to make sure it’s exceptional, so they think of us in the future.’’
The Mind & Body Balancer, Prescott said, is designed to bring an overall sense of well being. It’s a full body massage features Swedish techniques to increase circulation, reduce muscle tension and induce deep relaxation.
The treatment then transitions into a meditative hair and scalp massage and treatment. This stress relieving journey culminates with a balancing bowl foot treatment to bring the yin back to your yang.
The Mind Body Therapy, according to Prescott, has all the benefits of the Mind Body Balancer with a therapeutic upgrade to include deep tissue techniques, hot pack therapy and Rosemary and Ginger Muscle Remedy.
It’s an ideal treatment for golfers who have the morning or afternoon The Biltmore’s Donald Ross-designed course that opened this past December after several months of renovation work.
The Mind Beauty Rejuvenation, Prescott said, is a “ritualistic skincare journey’’ inspired by the symbol of infinite beauty – the rose. Designed to bring radiance to the skin, Prescott said this facial strengthens and firms, restoring balance and stimulating collagen production.
Known as the love stone, a rose quartz gemstone massage calms inflammation and encourages cell restoration, completing this anti-aging facial.
“More people are looking for anti-aging,’’ treatments, Prescott said. “Even younger people are becoming more aware of the anti-aging process and what can contribute to the aging process, especially here in the South Florida sun and the “blue light’’ affects from computers and our other devises.
“We don’t have to this of anti-aging as our grandmother’s facial. We want to slow down the aging in our physical appearance and how we are feeling. We’re always looking for that perfect blend between mind and body.’’
