50 Ocean General Manager Mark DeAtley and Executive Thomas Op’t Holt never disappoint hen it comes to culinary creativity. The latest (and perhaps greatest) from the duo and the Delray Beach restaurant is a 12-month long dinner series, featuring food and libations from coast to coast.
“The Great American Road Trip” will take diners on a tour of 12 famous streets, with menus driven by the culture and customs of the spotlighted thoroughfares.
The Great American Road Trip departs this August from Delray Beach’s Atlantic Avenue, with a jaunt through the city’s history. Each consecutive month, 50 Ocean will guide guests to a new location, visiting iconic streets, including 42nd Street, Rodeo Drive, Bourbon Street, and The Strip. Op’t Holt has designed menus to distinguish each location’s unique character, and selected cocktails, wine, and beer to enhance each encounter.
“We’ve mapped out the best dishes and drinks and have come up with a fun way to help our guests experience these famous places,” DeAtley said. “It’s like a cross-country culinary vacation without having to make the drive.”
Ticket prices will vary for each dinner, and a portion will benefit local charities. Space is limited for these special events. Reserve your spot early by calling (561) 278-3364 or visiting 50ocean.com.
