Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa at The Islands of Loreto, the great destination resort located on the shores of Danzante Bay in Eastern Baja, Mexico, continues to collect honors.
The latest of the prestigious accolades comes from the World Travel Awards, which named the property a 2019 Leading Resort in Mexico and Central America, Leading Beach Resort in Mexico, and the Mexico & Central America’s Leading Family Resort for the fifth consecutive year.

Beating out stiff competition from luxury worldwide brands, Villa del Palmar at The Islands of Loreto—located between the Sierra de la Giganta mountains and the Sea of Cortez on the southeastern shore of Baja California Sur—has been named the Leading Resort in Mexico and Central America for the past four years and Best Beach Resort in Mexico in 2015 and 2016.
The World Travel Awards are considered the most prestigious in the global travel and tourism industry. For 26 years the program has acknowledged, rewarded, and celebrated excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.
Since opening in 2011, Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa at The Islands of Loreto has become known for not only for its setting—it sits on a sprawling stretch of white-sand beach along Danzante Bay—but for the wide array of activities that guests can enjoy, including sport fishing, swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, and whale watching.
