Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery opens in Atlantic Hotel & Spa on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Society 8 Hospitality Group has opened Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery on the ground level of The Atlantic Hotel & Spa  Beach on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The restaurant offers what it calls “a grown-up’’ interpretation of a chic boardwalk dining experience with a twist on fresh dining favorites from the land and sea.

Wild Thyme guests get panoramic oceanfront views to accompany their fresh caught ocean and farm-raised mainland offerings of Small Plates, Larger Plates and Big Shares. Wild Thyme’s eclectic offerings include specialty events, such as, monthly Full Moon Parties with Fire Dancers, Saturday ‘Boozy’ Brunch, Local Catch on Thursday nights, Happy Hour and Sunday “‘Feast’’ Brunch.


Steven Dapuzzo, a culinary expert with Society 8 Hospitality Group who has launched several successful restaurant concepts, including SoLita, Mastino, Beauty & the Feast, Park & Ocean and the soon-to-launch Sistrunk Market & Brewery, expanded on his vision for Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery.

“We wanted to create an exceptionally wild experience for our guests with a beachside twist,” Dapuzzo said. “The Atlantic Hotel & Spa is the perfect spot to create this culinary concept.”

The Small Plates include a Wild Hummus with Minted Tahini, Garlic, Tomato and Pomegranate topped with Pumpkin Seeds and Almonds and served with warm Pita Bread for dipping. The Lobster & Ribeye Philly Cheese Steak from the Small Plates menu is another “must try,’’ with Ribeye Steak, Mushrooms and melted Provolone – the Lobster adds an unexpected element to the Philly classic.

Larger Plates include a Spaghetti Squash Bolognese and a Crispy Chicken and Thyme Waffle topped with a Strawberry Jalapeño Syrup and Maple Cinnamon Butter. The classic Seafood Paella has a wild spin with Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Calamari, Chorizo, Peppers and is served with Saffron Rice. For larger parties, Big Shares are served for the whole table and include dishes such as Whole Charred Octopus, Whole Roasted Cauliflower and the Crispy Seafood Cone. Each are priced per person or portion.

Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery also Crusts (pizzas) such as the Hand Pulled Mozz Pizza, and a Brooklyn Pizza with Meatball, Sausage, Hot Peppers and Tomato Sauce with Ricotta.
