With summer in full swing on Palm Beach, Collab Hospitality is introducing a new seasonal strategy it says is customized to the island’s unique cyclical dining culture.
Collab Hospitality says it has started the process of a “fully reimagined’’ Hai House menu with culinary leaders Chef Kenny Tang and Chef Malcolm Williams. Hai House is located in the Esplanade shopping plaza on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.
In preparation, the Hai House dining room will be open with a limited menu on Fridays and Saturdays only during the months of July and August, reopening in September as a preview for Flavor Palm Beach patrons only. The September three-course Flavor prix fixe menu will feature all new menu options guests can anticipate from the full reveal in October.
Full dining room operations will resume with the reimagined dining experience, as well as refreshed interiors, on Oct. 1. The restaurant’s Summer Dining Deal (Prix Fixe for 2 for $50) is still valid through August.
Hai House’s limited service hours also means that weekly specials, including Ladies Night and Wings & Wine Wednesdays, are suspended through September. Happy Hour will continue, as will Summer Family Hour, on Fridays and Saturdays.
Collab says the popularity of Collab’s existing takeout program has given rise to a new concept that will launch on July 3 as a hybrid experience between its fast casual and full-service concepts, in the form of new, traditional Chinese-American takeout and delivery kitchen, “Nice Rice.’’ Collab says Nice Rice will feature recipes using premium, never frozen ingredients, as upgrades on your typical Chinese Take-Out.
Nice Rice will offer familiar, Chinese-American comfort dishes such as Sweet & Sour Chicken, General Tso’s and Classic Lo Mein and combination plates among other items.
Nice Rice will be available for takeout and delivery throughout Palm Beach and West Palm Beach, via Cravy, UberEats, DoorDash and Grubhub. The kitchen will occupy the former TYCA space and will be open for take-out orders 5 pm – 9 pm nightly. Online orders can be made in advance for pick up or delivery at eatnicerice.com. Guests will be able to order takeout in person at the Nice Rice location at the Esplanade Palm Beach.
Collab says it plans to resurrect the TYCA concept next year, in a to-be-announced location in Palm Beach County.
