Seminole Casino Coconut Creek will sponsor and host the 12th annual Geminis Give Back by the Carma Foundation on June 2, from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Event honorees will include John Salley (former NBA player), Jonathan Vilma (former NFL player), Sarodj Bertin (2010 Miss Universe), Rebecca Noble (Social Activist), Fatboy SSE (Comedian/Actor), and Fran Smock-McDuffie (Philanthropist).

This year’s Master of Ceremonies is model/actor Tyson Beckford. The carnival-themed event will also feature special appearances by Azia, Foxx, Canadian actress Celestine Caravaggio, and Florida rapper Black Dada.

A non-profit organization, Carma Foundation’s mission is to measurably improve the health of poor and vulnerable women and children in the Caribbean and inner cities of the United States through action, dialogue and change.

The Carma Foundation was founded by Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, author, director and humanitarian Melky Jean, who is the younger sister of musician and actor Wyclef Jean. Her charitable efforts have recently been spotlighted by the New York Post, Washington Luxury, CNN, Fox News, MTV, MSNBC, Griot.com, Essence Magazine, Hip Hop Weekly and Sister 2 Sister Magazine.

In 2009, the City of Miami celebrated Jean by naming a day in her honor for her artistic achievement and philanthropic works.
