Seminole Casino Coconut Creek once again will support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) with two events during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
Founded in 1999, PanCAN is dedicated to fighting the world’s toughest cancer. The organization’s effort is amplified by a nationwide network of grassroots support.
Through its “Coco For A Cure” program, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek will help raise awareness and funds for the fight against pancreatic cancer via various initiatives to include two special events, the sale of logoed items, food and beverage programs, and purple-themed décor throughout the property.
“We’re definitely all in at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek to help find a cure for this terrible disease,” said Jonathan Marcus, vice president of marketing at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. “Last year, we donated $25,000 to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. We certainly want to surpass that figure this year in a huge way.”
Special events benefitting PanCAN include:
Thelma Houston’s Motown Experience, featuring a tribute to Aretha Franklin, will take place in The Pavilion on Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. Houston will perform a medley of Franklin’s songs in the wake of her recent passing away from pancreatic cancer.
