With the recent purchase of Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind., the Dormie Network has grown to five premier private clubs around the country. Dormie Network, based in Lincoln, Neb., is in the process of assembling a nationwide stable of ultra-high-end properties, combining the experience of destination golf with the exclusive hospitality of private membership.
Victoria National GC joins a portfolio that includes the Dormie Club, an outstanding Coore-Crenshaw design in Pinehurst, N.C; Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antoni; ArborLinks in Nebraska City, Neb; and Ballyhack Golf Club in Roanoke, Va.
Dormie Network clubs each offer full-service amenities – from premium accommodations to dining. Close proximity to cities such like Atlanta, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Louisville, Nashville, Omaha, Raleigh, Richmond, Roanoke, St. Louis, and San Antonio makes Dormie Network clubs ideal for weekend getaways, buddy trips, and corporate retreats.
“Every Dormie Network club is designed to feel like your home club,” said Dormie Network Operations Manager Mark Ruhga. “Each offers challenging and expeditious play, pristine course conditions, and genuine hospitality.”
In addition to expanding to include more private destination clubs across the country, Dormie Network is currently investing in course conditions, club accommodations and service. Dormie Network is in the process of conducting agronomic assessments to identify where improvements are needed, and is in the process of constructing on-site lodging. Other infrastructure enhancements are also underway, from clubhouse expansions to new maintenance facilities and cart storage.
Dormie Network is adding cottages at Victoria National that will double the club’s current accommodations capacity. ArborLinks is currently undergoing a clubhouse expansion, including the addition of a wine cellar, added accommodations, and a new comfort station on the golf course.
At the Dormie Club, Dormie Network is planning construction of a new clubhouse and maintenance facility, as well as new accommodations perched at ideal locations around the course.
At Briggs Ranch, which has a terrific Tom Fazio-designed course that opened in 2001, Dormie Network is constructing on-site lodging in the form of casitas, along with a TrackMan performance center. Each will debut in 2019.
Ballyhack is known for its 2009 Lester George-designed golf course that has been ranked among Virginia’s top 10 layouts. Ballyhack also features an 11,500-square-foot clubhouse, a restaurant with farm-fresh inspired menus and indoor and on-site cottage accommodations with 28 master suites.
Each Dormie Network club offers local memberships that are capped at 100 per property. The chief focus is on national members across the entire network. During this period of substantial growth and expansion, Dormie Network is offering early adopters dramatically reduced initiation fees and dues structures.
