Got your goat: Silvies Valley Ranch opens McVeigh’s Gauntlet course

The seven-hole challenge course at Silvies Valley Ranch – McVeigh’s Gauntlet – in Silvies, Ore., has opened for play featuring the Silvies Valley Ranch Goat Caddies.

The opening ceremony was led by Silvies Valley Ranch Vice President of Livestock & Guest Services Colby Marshall, and included remarks by course architect Dan Hixon and Seamus Golf Owner and Founder Akbar Christi and an introduction to Caddie Master Bruce LeGoat and caddie captain Mike LeChevon,

Silvies Valley Ranch, a luxury resort and working cattle ranch in Eastern Oregon, claims to have the largest herd of organic meat goats in the world. This goat caddie program at Silvies Valley Ranch, the company says, showcases the American Range goats for ecological restoration and provides a new economic opportunity for ranches in Frontier Oregon.
