Margaritaville Orlando is well on its way to opening later this year, and Margaritaville Hotel in Nashville is scheduled to open next year. What’s in between? Margaritaville at Lanier Islands, Ga. For the uninitiated, Lanier Islands is a small group of island on Georgia’s largest lake and one of the ore popular recreation destinations in the Peach State.
Located about 50 miles north of downtown Atlanta and part of a phased, multi-year development project led by Safe Harbor Development, LLC., in partnership with Margaritaville and The Virgil Williams Family’s LLI Management Company, LLC, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands includes the new LandShark Landing, a refreshed Paradise Beach, an updated Water Park and various new food and beverage concepts, each of which are now open.
As with other Margaritaville properties, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands transports guests to a laid-back “no worries” tropical oasis inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer, songwriter and best-selling author Jimmy Buffett. The destination features Georgia’s only inland beach, the Family Fun Zone and weekend events with live performances. Food and beverage concepts include grab and go options, patio dining and LandShark Bar & Grill located at LandShark Landing – a playground for adults.
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is one of the first lakeside destinations of Margaritaville’s growing collection of hotels and resorts. Today, the global lifestyle brand features 12 lodging locations with more than 20 additional locations in the pipeline.
