Celebrate Mother’s Day South Florida style

South Florida knows how to throw a party – and Mother’s Day (May 13) is no exception. Here’s a look at some of SoFla’s top spots to help celebrate with Mom.

Venue: 1 Hotel South Beach

1 Hotel South Beach has crafted a package that’s being offered through the month of May. The Bamford Haybarn Spa’s “Mother’s Day Escape” Package begins with a 50-minute Bamford Destress massage that works the physical and energetic layers of the body to improve circulation. It is then followed by a 25-minute scalp massage and a 50-minute Bamford Organic facial to release tension in the skin and stimulate radiant complexion. A complimentary glass of bubbles completes the experience. The spa journey is priced at $385 and is available for purchase until May 31.

Venue: Sweat440

Recently opened boutique fitness studio, Sweat440, is offering all moms new to the studio their first class for free ahead of Mother’s Day on May 12. The day begins a 40-minute Sweat – Total Body Conditioning workout class from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. The class will be a mix of high-intensity intervals and core exercises, and the last group starts at 12:20 p.m. Sweat440’s class is broken up into four 10-minute stations allowing you to jump into or out of a class at any time. Oh, and there will be free 10-minute chair massages.

Venue: KINGS Dining & Entertainment Doral

Mother’s Day special will include free pin painting for kids, allowing moms to enjoy quality time with their children while taking advantage of KINGS other gaming amenities, bowling, great food and drink pricing and more.

Venue: OTL, 60 NE 40th Street, Miami

The Design District’s popular community hangout is activating its upstairs space just in time for Mother’s Day. Relax, recharge and channel your inner zen by starting with a morning class from Ahana yoga from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Following yoga, head downstairs to the café area where guests will be greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco to accompany OTL’s brunch menu.

Venue: Duffy’s Sports Grill, Kendall and North Miami Beach

Duffy’s Sports Grill is offering a Surf & Turf special for $19.99 in addition to a free glass of wine for moms. MVP guests can also earn a $10 bounce back on their MVP card for their next visit.

Venue: Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen

Known for its expansive selection of fresh and flavorful dishes, moms can celebrate for lunch or dinner with seasonal entrees, salads, burgers, sandwiches and desserts.

Venue: Wolfgang’s Steakhouse

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is offering free champagne for all ladies in honor of Mom. Oh yes, there’s also Wolfgang’s juicy steaks.

Venue: Bulla Gastrobar, Doral and Coral Gables

With recently adding new brunch menu items to its prix fixe menu, Bulla Gastrobar is giving Mothers a brunch experience that includes one glass of Mas Fi Cava.  Moms and their families can also enjoy bottomless mimosas or sangrias for $18 while indulging into new items such as S’mores Churros and Chicken & Waffles.

Venue: AZABU Miami Beach

At this Michelin-starred concept, experts will take over your taste buds with authentic Japanese fare. The $55 four-course special dinner menu will include Cold Edamame Soup; a choice of appetizers including Oysters, Salmon Tataki or House Salad; a choice of entrees including Lamb Chops, Grilled Suzuki/Branzino, Sakura Pork Shiokoji, or Half Lobster; and either Masa’s Chocolate Cake or Raspberry and Champagne Granite for dessert. Don’t forget to indulge in Azabu’s extensive selection of sakes and Japanese whiskies.

Venue: Boulud Sud Miami

Boulud Sud Miami is hosting a $65 three-course prix fixe menu. Executive Chef Clark Bowen will be serving up dishes inspired by the Coastal Mediterranean such as the signature Octopus a la Plancha and Chicken Tagine, plus exclusive brunch dishes such as the Grilled Steak & Egg, Lobster Omelette, and Pastry Chef Saeko Nemoto’s Pistachio French Toast. Forget standard Mimosas and Bloody Marys, for $35 guests can order unlimited “mix & match” brunch cocktails, including the L’orange made with citrus vodka or the Straggisto made with greek yogurt and rum.

Venue: Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar | Multiple Locations

Rocco’s Tacos offers guests a full sensory Mexican dining experience including exclusive Mother’s Day specials. Moms receive complimentary house margaritas with purchase of an entree. Also, kids under 10 eat free off the kids menu. Brunch dishes include Huevos Rancheros Divorciados and the Wet Burrito con Huevos  Sunday Brunch is offered from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m

Venue: Terra Mare

The newest restaurant to hit Fort Lauderdale beach, Terra Mare, celebrates its first Mother’s Day with a lavish brunch buffet that will offer four different stations: chilled appetizers featuring smoked salmon cones, lobster salad, deviled eggs and more; hot food featuring juevos rancheros, fried chicken and biscuits, nutella waffles; carving station featuring a herb roasted leg of lamb and prime rib; and desserts featuring banana pudding, triple chocolate mousse, strawberry shortcake and more. Guests can also order a la carte if preferred.

Venue: Point Royal

After touring mom around the newly renovated Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, head to Chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s Coastal American restaurant, Point Royal. The seaside venue is offering a brunch buffet that showcases a dessert room, raw bar, charcuterie spread, egg station, cereal bar and more. Standout dishes include smoke-roasted whole branzino, strawberry passion fruit crème brûlée, sugar cured ham, mac & cheese, raspberry lavender cheesecake and more.The experience is complimented by a center bar focused on fresh juice based cocktails and an extensive wine list. Upgrade to bottomless mimosas, champagne or bloody marys for $25.

 Venue: Pisco y Nazca, Doral and Kendall

Pisco y Nazca, welcomes all moms and their families for brunch with a bottomless option plus other brunch favorites, Treat your mother to a seat at Pisco y Nazca, sip on Pisco Sours and savor all the Peruvian food it has to offer. Pisco y Nazca will also be offering special bottle of Gancia Brut Rose for $45 of which moms will get to sample

Venue: Jaya at The Setai

Celebrate Mother’s Day at the luxurious hotel’s modern Asian restaurant with a lavish buffet spread, live jazz performances and unlimited champagne and bloody marys. Mothers and their loved ones can choose from an array of options including a kids’ station; rotisserie station featuring roasted strip loin au jus; a seafood station with Alaskan king crabs legs; a sushi station; a dim sum station; an Indian station showcasing butter chicken; and an Asian station with pad thai goong sod and red pork curry.  Don’t get too full, there is also a next-level dessert station piled high with anything and everything that satisfies your sweet tooth and a liquid nitrogen ice cream station. Bagatelle’s loud music, flashing lights, champagne bottles that sparkle, and salsa dancers.  Choose from “Bloody Mary” Panzanella drizzled in a refreshing citrus vodka vinaigrette, fresh Royal Caviar, Chantilly Crumb Cake topped with seasonal fruit and Lobster on a toasted croissant among a brunch menu fit for the most discerning of palates.

Lima’s Mother’s Day brunch from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m will feature live jazz music and breakfast items, loaded salads, a chilled display, raw bar and other specialized dishes such as Cherry Wood Smoked Pork with Aji Panca and Tricolor Tortellini with Pisco Sour and Queso Fresco Sauce. All moms will receive a special rose and be serenaded by live musicians. After brunch, guests are invited to check out Atton Brickell Miami’s rooftop infinity pool and rooftop bar Vista with 360-degree sweeping views of Biscayne Bay.

Juvia Miami Beach takes the brunch plans to new heights with a specially curated prix-fixe brunch menu just for Mother’s Day. Executive Chef Sunny Oh has taken his favorites and Juvia’s signature dishes to the menu with highlights such as Bay Scallop Linguini, Branzino a la Provencale, Black Angus NY Strip, and Apricot Passion Fruit Tart dessert by Pastry Chef Gregory Gourreau. The brunch menu also includes bottomless mimosas, bellinis or prosecco and of course gorgeous views of the city that will make this Mother’s Day one to never forget. Brunch is available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

VenueBird & Bone at The Confidante Miami Beach

Located inside of Miami Beach’s popular lifestyle hotel, The Confidante Miami Beach, Bird & Bone, a southern-inspired restaurant concept offers Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. fit for families to come out, celebrate Mother’s Day, and enjoy dishes such as Fried Chicken & Cornbread Waffle and the Florida Cheddar & Chives Biscuits. Bird & Bone also offers a bottomless booze option that includes unlimited mimosas, bellinis, ginger peach sangria and more. Families can opt to eat on open-air terrace and open view of The Backyard area. In additional to its normal offerings, Bird & Bone will be featuring a free mimosa or bellini for mothers, as well as a North American Lamb Chop with Cornbread & Ham, Roasted Mushrooms, and a Balsamic Gastrique for $24. The Confidante will also be offering a special turn-down service which will include a flower and hand-crafted note for mothers.

One of the world’s most Instagrammed restaurants, a celeb hotspot, national brand and pretty much legendary in all aspects of the word. For Mother’s Day, the over-the-top spot, steps away from the beach on Ocean Drive, is offering a special brunch for $55 that includes one complimentary glass of champagne or a mimosa with an appetizer, entree and dessert. Appetizer options include Baked Brie and Popcorn Shrimp; entrees include Pacific Salmon and Mediterranean Chicken Pappardelle; and finally, chose between NY Style Cheesecake and Red Velvet Cake.

Venue: Swank Farms Loxahatchee

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Swank Farms invites your family to be a part of its family at a multi-course brunch featuring Swank Farm vegetables, eggs, and delicacies from local artisans and farmers. Swank’s Culinary Chef Liaison Simon Stojanovic will prepare a menu featuring a selection of canapes, 3-courses and dessert. During brunch in the Pole Barn, guests are treated to unlimited mimosas, Bloody Marys and Craft Beers while a local musician plays on their custom designed elevated stage. Guests can wander the fields and take a tour from owner Darrin Swank to see how a true farm to table operation works.  Stephen Starr’s chic brasserie is home to the area’s most fashionable brunching crowd. Stop by for brunch between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. this Mother’s Day and enjoy French-Mediterranean cuisine and glasses of sparkling rosé while relaxing under the lush palm tree-covered patio. Moms will even receive  complimentary macaroons.

Venue: Elcielo
The avant-garde restaurant in the heart of Brickell and led by world-recognized Chef Juanma Barrientos will be open for lunch for one day only – Mother’s Day. From noon to 3 p.m., diners and their mothers can indulge in Elcielo’s multi-sensory tasting menus with unique menu items, such as chocotherapy, in which  you massage your hands with liquid chocolate and eat it off for a delicious memory. Moms also will get a flower, special cocktail and dessert.

 KYU will be offering complimentary slices of Michael Lewis’ “Mom’s Coconut Cake” for all the moms and grandmoms at brunch. Highlights from the Wynwood favorite’s menu include crispy banana bourbon french toast, roasted cauliflower, thai fried rice stone pot and even eggs benedict on a buttermilk biscuit with your choice of crab, crispy pork or kale. Upgrade your brunch with an order of bottomless prosecco, red or white wine for $35, bottomless rosé for $40, or check out one of KYU’s unique cocktails such as the Wynwood Mule made with Hangar 1 Vodka, smoked pineapple, lime, bitters and ginger beer.

 This Mother’s Day, Upland is offering guests the opportunity to experience Upland’s brunch and dinner at earlier hours. Upland’s brunch will start at 10:30 am, while dinner will be starting at 5 pm. Restaurateur Stephen Starr and Chef Justin Smilie’s California-inspired eatery provides a one-of-a-kind brunch experience in Miami Beach’s chic South of Fifth neighborhood. Favorites from the expansive weekend menu include chilaquiles with skirt steak, pistachio pizza, avocado omelet and more. Treat your mother to the $26 bottomless brunch option includes bottomless bloody marys made with Wodka Vodka, local mimosas with Florida citrus, or Rosé les Vignobles Gueissard. At the end of your meal, Upland is also offering families a complimentary picture taken with their mom and placed in an Upland frame.

Highlights include a lavish raw bar, house-made pop tarts reminiscent of your childhood, vanilla french toast drizzled with dulce de leche and even a short rib potato pancake benedict for the savory seekers.
