Mazie’s, featuring “New World Comfort Food,” has launched daily brunch service from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Located on “Restaurant Row’’ along South Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, Mazie’s is the area’s most talked about new restaurant.
Brunch specialties include sour cream pancakes with blueberries, jarlsburg and maple syrup ($12) and carrot French toast sticks with carrot cake, coconut and pineapple ($13). The brunch menu features all day breakfast items, soups, salads, open faced sandwiches and plates.
Mazie’s is owned and operated by Chef Eric Baker, formerly of Delray Beach’s Max’s Harvest and Jason Lakow, who had been general manager of Café Boulud. The restaurant is named after Baker’s grandmother Mazie, whose parents emigrated to Brooklyn from Europe in the 1890s.
“Our neighbors have welcomed us with open arms. We hope they’ll enjoy having their own all-day gathering place, now that we are serving brunch,” Baker said.
Mazie’s is open seven days a week. Dinner is served each day starting at 5 p.m. with happy hour daily from 5 to 6:00 p.m.
