Despite a thick blanket of snow covering much of the course, Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club is busy preparing for its 25th golf season. The projected opening is early May, with guests getting spring pricing of $92 USD per player through May 25.
“It’s a little difficult to predict our exact opening date right now while we still have substantial snow on the golf course, but we are working hard to make sure everything is in order when the time comes,” said Nick Droulis, director of golf. “Despite the snow, I’m confident we’ll be in great shape come early May and will have an excellent start to our 25thseason.”
A Robert Trent Jones, Jr., design, the course drapes along the foothills and lower slopes of Blackcomb Mountain, traversing creeks, ponds, granite outcroppings and thick stands of ancient Douglas fir. Along the way, it’s filled with dramatic shot-making opportunities, spectacular mountain vistas and exceptional opportunities for wildlife viewing. Additionally, Fairmont guests enjoy unlimited golf and other resort golf privileges, including access to the practice facilities and “Kids golf free.”
