The Honda Classic is underway in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and after one round it appears as if Tiger Woods might make the cut. That’s reason enough for a lot of golf fans to celebrate.
If you are among them, swing by The Cooper restaurant in PB Gardens, for a “Talk Birdie to Me.’’

The gin-based cocktail is a citrusy-sweet mix of fresh-squeezed juices, The Cooper’s homemade orgeat syrup, Blue Curaçao, and Velvet Falernum Liqueur. The green-hued cocktail surrounds a large ball of ice, and is served with a lemon swath and a Luxardo maraschino cherry skewered on a golf tee.
Talk Birdie to Me was inspired by bar manager Tennette Shumaker’s love of the game.
“I’m a golf fan, and I play. My goal is to get as many birdies as I can, and when I do, all I want to do is talk about it,” Shumaker said.
Here’s a look at the recipe:
1 ½ oz. Citadelle Gin
½ oz. lemon juice
¼ oz. passion fruit juice
½ oz. orgeat syrup
¼ oz. Velvet Falernum Liqueur
¼ oz. Blue Curaçao
