Chicago-based Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen, known for its selection of flavorful dishes that are all made from scratch, will open its Coral Gables, Fla., location on March 5. The eatery will be located on the corner of Miracle Mile and Salzedo Street.
Wrapping the corner of each street, Doc B’s brings together natural lighting, sleek design and quality food.
“At Doc B’s we want diners to walk away satisfied and blown-away with flavor that leaves you wanting more,” said Founder Craig Bernstein. “We strive to maintain fresh, home-made and consistently good food. Our team created the menu with our own cravings in mind, that’s why the variety and creativity comes through with each item.”
Named after Bernstein’s father “Doctor B,” the restaurant launched in Chicago in 2013 and has quickly become a national fan-favorite, with locations Chicago, Austin, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.
Doc B’s Coral Gables will feature a 700- degree open-hearth pizza oven and a 900-degree steakhouse broiler for its selections of prime steak or two-pound miso-glazed lobster.
Menu highlights include a “create your own steak” option allowing guests to choose the type of cut, house-made seasoning, traditional sauce or premium topping such as Jumbo Lump Citrus Crab. Other Coral Gables menu options include the Angry Meatball, a 100 percent Wagyu beef 10-ounce meatball with spicy marinara and the Killer Grilled Shrimp marinated in habanero and cilantro and served over a medley of watermelon, cucumber and Marcana almonds, topped with fresh mint.
The restaurant also will feature a 30-seat bar and artwork by some of Miami’s homegrown artists.
