Ladies can get an early jump on Valentine’s Day at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 12 by making a heart-shaped wreath with roses to take home, enjoy a glass of prosecco, as well as a Grey Goose cocktail and snacks, at Death or Glory in Delray Beach. Death or Glory is located in the historic Falcon House, which was originally built in 1925.
On Valentine’s Day, starters on the Death or Glory special menu include a Beet Salad with tangerine, avocado mousse, whipped goat cheese, hazelnuts, hearts on fire and an orange sherry vinaigrette; Seared Foie Gras on brioche with strawberries and balsamic; or Vegan Creamy Mushroom Soup with porcini, shitake and crimini mushrooms, vegetable stock, cashew cream and truffled croutons; Other options are shrimp cocktail, fresh shucked oysters, three cheese ravioli, crispy chickpeas and shaved Brussel sprouts.
Main course options include a Surf + Turf with a six-ounce filet mignon, butter poached Maine lobster tail and baked tomato, along with pangrattato, pattypan squash and a lemon herb butter; Pan Seared Fish with beet hummus, haricot verts, blistered heirloom cherry tomatoes, lemon oregano butter and za’atar; Additional entrees are a vegan mushroom Bolognese, or a variety of burgers – vegan, veggie, with cheese or just plain beef.
The finale offerings include a Dark Chocolate Bark with pistachios, maldon sea salt and orange olive oil; Warm Bread Pudding with apple, cranberry, streusel and a spiced rum sauce; panna cotta or a cheese plate.
