When the hustle and bustle of the holidays gets to be too much, here’s a good option: Okeechobee Steakhouse, the legendary 70-year-old eatery in West Palm Beach, this December is offering an exclusive wine dinner, whereby four people will sip the night away with a five-course meal paired with an exclusive Cabernet from Screaming Eagle.
Screaming Eagle Winery and Vineyards are bottled in Oakville, California, producing just 400 to 750 cases annually
Diners will start the night off with La Plancha (seared scallops with seasonal vegetable) following by a dish of New Zealand Lamb Chops (paired with mixed olive tapenade crostini). The third course will be a Warm African Lobster Salad (topped with sherry wine vinaigrette). Those in attendance will then be treated to Veal Osso Bucco (along with roasted root vegetables, braised greens and fingerling potatoes). A Crème Brûlée (with port wine and bananas foster) caps off the evening’s festivities.
The dinner can be purchased as a package – making it a good holiday gift for family or friends. The total cost is $2500 ($625 per person).
