Boston’s on the Beach in Delray Beach continues to be one of the great live music venues in South Florida. Here’s a look at this month’s Blue Tuesdays lineup. The music begins at 8:30 pm.
And by the way, Ambrosia makes a return gig to Boston’s on Nov. 8 beginning at 8:30 pm.
Nov. 7: Spicy gumbo and a hot guitar. Bill “Sauce Boss” Wharton brings his own hot sauce to every gig, and cooks a big pot of gumbo, while smoking his slide guitar. At the end of the show, everyone gets a bowl. Sauce Boss not only plays slide, sings his tamales off, makes gumbo, and feeds everybody, he also plays a drum kit with his feet.
Nov. 14: Chicago blues “Triple Threat” Nigel Mack. Nigel Mack switches among instruments to deliver a mixture of blues classics with a contemporary punch. Nigel Mack & The Blues Attack are a favorite at venues across North America and Europe.
Nov. 21: Guitar hero Damon Fowler. The Florida native started wowing audiences as a teenager with his hybrid of roots-rock, blues, and sacred steel. Since then, Damon Fowler has added songwriting and vocal skills to his repertoire, earning him the reputation of one of the hottest young players on the scene. Fowler can play fiery guitar runs with the best of them, and his lyrical work on lap steel and Dobro make him stand out among the legions of guitar heroes.
Nov. 28: Kick it old school style with the Terry Hanck Band. Saxophonist and singer Terry Hanck has been influenced by the likes of Fats Domino, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Lee Allen, and King Curtis.
