Conrad Bora Bora Nui names Sandvig as director of sales and marketing

Conrad Bora Bora Nui, the first luxury resort to open in Bora Bora in nearly 10 years, has named Ron Sandvig as the director of sales and marketing. With over 30 years of luxury travel and resort lifestyle experience, Sandvig is now bringing his expertise to the recently-renovated and rebranded resort in French Polynesia, where he will be leading sales and marketing for the United States and Canada.

“We are pleased to welcome Ron to the Conrad Bora Bora Nui family,” said Jean Duc, general manager for Conrad Bora Bora Nui. “With his extensive experience in leading luxury hospitality brands, knowledge of the competitive landscape and respect within the industry, Ron is a valuable addition to our team.”

Most recently, Sandvig served as director of travel sales at Island Hotel in Newport Beach, Calif. Prior to that he spent 10 years as vice president of travel industry sales for Terrenea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.  Sandvig also served as regional director of sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, representing 76 hotels and resorts in 27 countries, specifically working with The Luxury Collection and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. He started his career overseeing sales and marketing efforts at various hotels in California including The Westin in Long Beach, Calif.

Opened April 2017, the Conrad Bora Bora Nui is the first Conrad hotel in the South Pacific. Located in a private cove on Motu To’opua, a small islet located off the coast of Bora Bora, the resort faces out toward the open ocean, with the only unobstructed sunset views in Bora Bora.
