Father’s Day Feasts in West Palm Beach

Father’s Day (June 18) is fast approaching. For those who haven’t yet decided on a place to take dad, here are some of my favorite West Palm Beach restaurants looking out for him on Father’s Day.

The Butcher Shop Beer Garden & Grill www.butchershopwpb.com

The new eatery near downtown will host a three-day long, live music festival. Local band “Spred the Dub” will kick things off making their first ever Butcher Shop appearance on June 16 from 10 pm to 1 am. The festivities continue with DJ “Chilly Willy” on Saturday and live acoustic music by Cecil Anno of “Tank Tops & Flip Flops” on Father’s Day. Beer specials will run all weekend including a free draft beer for Dad on Sunday. Also, in true Butcher Shop fashion, a Father’s Day steak dinner special will feature a dry, aged, “tomahawk” bone-in rib eye steak for two, served with sweet Florida corn and loaded mashed potatoes.

Chef Lindsay Autry’s great CityPlace restaurant will host its first Father’s Day brunch buffet from 11 am to 3 pm. Dads are welcome to a complimentary cocktail and guests receive traditional Southern brunch fare and other inspired dishes at the restaurant’s delectable, The selections include:

  • Cornmeal Flapjacks: bourbon blueberry jam, salted butter
  • Fried Chicken Thighs: sweet-tea brine, bread & butter pickles
  • Buttermilk Waffle: spiced apple butter, maple syrup, crispy bacon
  • Omelettes: prepared to order
  • Desserts

Okeechobee Steakhouse www.okeesteakhouse.com

The legendary steakhouse will offer an exclusive dish to celebrate Father’s Day. The June 18 special will be a 28-ounce 55-day dry-aged prime porterhouse. It’s not only a great way to celebrate with dad, but a great way to get to know what the 70-year-old Okeechobee Steakhouse is all about.
