Chef Julien Gremaud’s mother inspired him as a young boy in Saint Tropez to pursue his love of cooking. On Mother’s Day (May 14), he’ll honor her loving encouragement by treating Downtown West Palm Beach moms with a brunch menu created for just for them at Avocado Grill. The menu includes a complimentary glass of champagne for every mother who visits that day.
“As a new father, I understand firsthand just how hard moms work every single day for their kids and their families. I’m so proud of my wife. Like all moms, she deserves some extra love on Mother’s Day,” Gremaud said.
Mother’s Day brunch specials will include Lobster Ravioli with a bisque sauce and Yellowtail Snapper en Papillotte with quinoa, julienned vegetables and a coconut curry sauce. Moms can also choose the Smoked Salmon Burrata Salad with arugla, beech mushrooms, beets and tarragon or fresh-from-the-sea Oysters Rockefeller.
Opened in downtown West Palm Beach in late 2014, Avocado Grill has become a staple on the dining scene and Gremaud one of its more respected chefs. Avocado Grill features small plates of seasonal, locavore-driven fare, specialty ceviche, a full raw bar and an expansive farm-to-table menu that includes fresh, house-made desserts.
This past December, Gremaud won the Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival’s title for “Best Street Food”. The Chef’s entry was a Quail Leg Lollipop with truffle aioli, pistachio crust, cherry chutney, and pickled beech mushroom.
