There no better eye candy in the summer than New York City’s skyline from a nearby roof top or cruise.
So with that mind, here are three of my favorite Big Apples bars and lounge with great views of its legendary landmarks.
The Roof |120 W 57th St. | TheRoofNY.com
Capping the top of Viceroy Central Park, The Roof is a lounge and outdoor terrace that offers guests a perch to take in the city’s energy and views of Central Park. It’s one of the best rooftop views in the city. The 2,400 square-foot space evokes the aesthetic of a luxury airliner complete with an indoor lounge and bar and an outdoor terrace with a variety of seating options.
Mr. Purple | 180 Orchard St. | MrPurpleNYC.com
Located on the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo Lower East Side, Mr. Purple captures the vibrant and artistic spirit of the LES. With a 360-degree view of downtown Manhattan from the two outdoor terraces and a beautiful interior, the venue recreates a hip, artist-loft ambiance. The larger terrace includes its own swimming pool and outdoor bar.
North River Lobster Company | Pier 81 | NorthRiverLobsterCo.com
North River Lobster Company’s floating dock is the only floating lobster shack in NYC, with multiple daily cruises along Manhattan’s West Side. The three-story yacht, including an expansive roof deck, is designed with New England’s classic charm and rustic fishing décor. The roof deck is one of the city’s best spots for sunsets and sightseeing. It also has great lobster rolls and cocktails to go along with a cruise along the Hudson River.
