“Easter is a special time to treat our youngest guests to sweet treats and watch the look of pure joy,’’ said Sheldon Millett, Executive Pastry Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.
The hotel’s around the clock pastry department is creating enormous painted chocolate eggs and huge chocolate bunnies and centerpieces. Hundreds of spring-themed petite sweets, tarts, cakes, cookies, candy and scones are on display at The Cottontail Tea Party and The Easter Garden Brunch.
Families are being introduced to a new Ritz-Carlton tradition, – Easter Bunny Breakfast – that includes breakfast with the Easter Bunny, a pancake station with a variety of toppings, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast breads, ham and cheese croissants and an assortment of breakfast pastries.
The Cottontail Tea Party presents the Easter Bunny and The Springtime Fairy with an afternoon tea featuring petite sandwiches and sweets including salted caramel cupcakes, s’more chocolate mousse, raspberry lemon scones, vanilla crème brulee, orange cheesecake and chocolate peanut butter mousse. The tea is open to the public on Saturday, April 15 at 11:30 a.m at a cost of $50 per person for ages six and up, $18 per child 5 and younger.
The Ritz-Carlton Easter Garden Brunch – in the classic Ritz-Carlton Ballroom Atrium with ocean views – will have a menu that a chilled seafood display, slow roasted Prime Rib, quiche Florentine, local fish, jumbo shrimp, roasted lamb chop and a dessert station. Celebrate this special occasion with a complimentary glass of Champagne and live music. Children will enjoy cookie decorating and a visit from the Easter Bunny and Spring Time Fairy. The brunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 16. Price is $110 per person for ages 13 and up and $45 children ages 5-12.
