Jones, Hills courses at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort reopening on Dec. 1

Golf at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island, S.C., will be back on Dec. 1 with the reopening of the Robert Trent Jones and Arthur Hills courses, along with the Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy. During storm cleanup following Hurricane Matthew, each of the resort’s three courses were overseeded — tee boxes, fairways and greens. www.palmettodunes.com

“Golfers are going to find some lush, green courses and no issues with cart paths or anything else. We are very excited,’’ said Director of Golf Clark Sinclair.

The George Fazio course at Palmetto Dunes, Sinclair said, is scheduled to reopen around mid-December.


Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort is a 2,000-acre resort destination located in the middle of Hilton Head Island, S.C., bounded by three miles of Atlantic Ocean beach on one side and a sheltered Intracoastal Waterway marina on the other.
